２月 バレンタイン
In February, our students celebrate Valentine’s Day.
They make sweets and cards for their family.
At SALLY’S, children learn that English is not just a subject, but a way to share their feelings with others.

４月 クラフト
In April, students enjoy craft activities.
At SALLY’S, we value real experiences. Instead of simple imitations, children create something close to the real things.
They love making things, and naturally show deep concentrations.
サリーズが大切にするのは「子どもだから」ではなく「子どもだからこそ」の「本物の体験」
子どもたちが本当に好きなもの・集中できることを通してこそ、「英語が現実になる」と考えています。
６月 クッキング
In June, we enjoy cooking activities.
Food is culture. While cooking, students answer English quizzes and learn about foods from different countries.
Sometimes they try new tastes they are not used to. At SALLY’S, we believe that trying to understand different cultures is just as important as learning English.
なぜか1年生の時には「食べられません」と言っていたものが、サリーズの6年生の「大好き」なものに変わる。。。サリーズの不思議現象？「異質なもの」をも素直に受け入れようとする心が、言葉を繋ぐ架け橋になるのではないでしょうか。
８月 デイキャンプ（フレックスタイム）とコンテストへの参加
In August, we hold Day Camps. Students practice speeches for 4 to 5 hours a day. Even first graders join and stay focused for the entire time.
They repeat, revise, and create their own materials. It may look simple, but something special happens.
１日４〜５時間、ひたすら「スピーチの練習」をするだけのデイキャンプです。しかし、不思議なことに、子どもたちは、「やればやるほど面白くなる」という感覚を体験していきます。「刺激」に慣れた現代っ子たちが、「単純な繰り返し」を楽しむようになる成長の機会です。本物の「楽しさ」とは、「わかる」「できる」といった積み重ねの末に得られるものなのではないでしょうか。
発表会
On Presentation Day, students speak about topics they truly want to talk about.
They research, think, and express their ideas in English.
At SALLY’S, we believe that learning English itself is not the final goal.
What matters most is what they want to say.
子どもたちのゴールは「英語を学ぶこと」ではありません。「自分が話したいと思うこと・人に伝えたいと思うこと」を話す。ーーーこのことが最も意味のあることなのではないかと考えています。
10月 ハロウイーン
Every year, Halloween at SALLY’S is different. We have held Halloween markets, dance parties, and special events based on students’ ideas.
In the U.S., Halloween is often seen as a festival for children.
At SALLY’S, we listen to what children want to try and help bring their ideas to life.
サリーは言います。「サリーズは子どもたちにエンターテインはしない。」サリーズには、「子どもたちを楽しませるためのイベントはありません。」と。「遊びの天才たち」に大人が教えることがありますか？ーーーあるとすれば、「あなたが考えたことは必ず実現できる」ということではないでしょうか。
１２月 クリスマス
In Japan, Christmas is often seen as a day when children receive presents. At SALLY’S, we take a different approach.
From Sally’s experiences in Canada, and the U.S., we believe Christmas is also a time to give.
“A time to share, and to make others happy.”
クリスマスは決して「もらうだけの日」ではありません。クリスマスは世界の人々にとって「分かち合う日」と言えるでしょう。サリーズのこどもたちが自分たちで作ったもので、「クリスマスチャリティー」を行いました。「分かち合う日」の意味を少しでも学んでほしいと願って。
